Optional features include: The Hay Saw™ is designed to act as hundreds of fingers pulling the slaps of hay apart while rations are being mixed.  It is a pulling action, instead of actually cutting, which helps maintain particle length resulting in a more palatable mix. Long-Lasting Tuff-Glide® liners are low friction, self lubricating mixing chamber liners which can reduce mixing pressure by as much as 25%.

In 1964 Schuler management made the commitment: "Quality Built-to Last Longer".   Today that commitment still stands.  Some examples of this commitment are:

• Schuler will not sacrifice longer tub life by using lower cost commercial grade steels.  Instead Schuler uses longer life abrasive resistant steel in the tub.
• Schuler uses only a H.D. planetary gear box in their vertical mixers.  To use a medium duty gear box is not an option.
• Schuler offers many different models of vertical TMR mixers to compliment most needs.

Schuler offers models ranging in size from single screw mixers to 1155 cubic foot twin screw mixers.

Schuler twin screw mixers offer some unique features including:

• Overlapping auger design.  With each revolution of the auger, feedstuffs are pulled out of the opposite auger chamber, positively creating exchange of feedstuffs between the augers.  Also, baffles between augers are small.  Large baffles slow cleanout and restrict end-to-end feed mixing.
• Directional baffles between the augers are uniquely designed to produce end-to-end feed movement by being offset from the center line of the tub.
• Tri-Pulse legs on both augers enhance mixing and cleanout.
